Best Reasons To Start Blogging – CASH $$$ Is The Main One!

Whenever I talk to people who are interested in blogging, one of the main things that stops them is whether or not it’s a good time to start a blog.

My response is – yes, I definitely think it’s a great time to start a blog!

I personally know several people who have recently started their blogs and have seen great success. In fact, I know of quite a few bloggers who have grown their blogs much bigger than all of my various blogs in just the past year or so.

So, if you’ve been thinking about starting a blog, I recommend hopping on it.

Luckily, there are many reasons to start a blog. First of all, starting a blog is very affordable! You can also start a blog on the side to see if you like it. The commitment is quite small in the beginning, and that’s why I always recommend simply starting one if it’s been on your mind.

After all, you won’t know unless you try.

I still remember the early days right after I started Actsofgod.cc.

I was completely clueless when I started this blog. And, blogging seemed like a very random thing when I first heard about it, but I decided to go ahead and start a blog of my own.

My reasons to start a blog were simply because I am a Frontend engineer and design websites… owning over a dozen of my own personally. I knew that blogging is a main part of any website’s income and the website owner’s earnings!

Because of how blogging changed my life, I love telling others about it. That’s exactly what I’m doing today if you are on the fence about starting a blog.

Blogging allowed me to travel full-time, and more. And I enjoy it.

1. It’s a great time to start a blog

It is definitely not too late to start a blog.

It’s actually a great time to start!

I hear from so many bloggers who have delayed launching their blog because they are afraid. Well, you won’t know if you’ll see success with your blog unless you start one.

So, start as soon as you can!

2. To make money blogging

I absolutely love blogging for many reasons, and some include:

  • I can help readers with the topic that I write about
  • I enjoy blogging and this career choice
  • I can make a good living blogging!

Yes, being able to make an income through blogging is one of the best reasons to start a blog.

There are now more ways than ever to monetize your blog, and that tells me that there is still potential out there for new bloggers to start and make money blogging.

For me, it has been a great online business choice, and I am so glad that I can make a living by blogging.

3. Blogging is enjoyable work

If you’ve ever wanted to work a job you love, then one of the best reasons to start a blog is that you’ll love what you do!

Blogging is both challenging and rewarding, as there is always something new to learn. You may not love everything about blogging, but I love pretty much everything about what I do.

As you can tell, I am very passionate about blogging. I love what I do, even though I never thought about this career choice as I was growing up.

I am so happy I tried it out because I can’t imagine my life to be any different.

I enjoy helping others improve their financial situation, reading blog posts from other bloggers, connecting with my readers, finding new people to talk to, working on my website’s, blogs, and total business.

Plus, I’ve been able to build my blogs to the point that I can hire out the things I don’t enjoy or that I’m not good at. That has really helped me enjoy blogging even more.

Funny enough, I know plenty of successful bloggers who don’t actually like to write, but they LOVE blogging (usually, they hire writers or A.I. to help with their content). Instead, they like to do other things related to growing their businesses, blogs or websites, such as being on social media, marketing, and more.

4. There’s room for new bloggers

I sometimes hear, “But there are so many blogs out there now!”

Yes, there are many blogs, but there will always be room. The internet isn’t getting smaller, lol! It’s all about finding your own voice and attracting your own audience.

I am still finding brand new blogs that I love, and I’m shocked by how many times I find blogs that seem completely different from anything else out there.

Everyone is different, and everyone has their own point of view and their own way of sharing a story.

Don’t let the number of blogs out there overshadow the other reasons to start a blog because there is still room for you.

5. There are so many blogging topics to choose from

In today’s world, there are so many different topics that you can write about.

Below is a quick, basic list of possible ideas for your blog. Choose one, all, or some. It’s all up to you.

  • Personal life
  • Home
  • Family
  • Travel
  • Finance
  • Crafts
  • Fashion and beauty
  • Career
  • DIY
  • Your hobbies
  • Small business
  • Outdoor activities
  • Fitness and health
  • Food
  • Inspiration and advice
  • Animals
  • Games
  • Relationships
  • Education
  • Electronics, and more!

That’s the beauty of having a blog (and one of the best reasons to start a blog) – it can be about anything, and there’s a possibility that you can make money from it.

6. It is affordable to start a blog

One great reason, as mentioned earlier, is that starting a blog of your own is affordable.

I spent less than $35 total for the whole first year of making my 1st website.

And, you need very minimal equipment – just a computer and internet connection.

If you are interested in taking the steps to learn how to create a blog, I have a tutorial that will help you create a blog of your own for cheap, starting at only $2.75 per month for blog hosting. In addition to the low pricing, you will receive a free website domain (a $15 value) through my referral link if you purchase at least 12 months of blog hosting.

Less than $50 a year is very inexpensive! I started my blog with super cheap blog hosting, I designed it myself of course, lol.

Now, you can learn how to start a blog with no money through some platforms. I do mean 100% free. The reason I don’t recommend that even for new bloggers is because paying for hosting means you own the content you create, and you won’t have to worry about anything happening to it.

Also, you will get a professional looking site for less than $3 a month! That’s such a great deal.

7. You can be your own boss as a blogger

Another one of the best reasons to start a blog – and this is one I really love – is that you get to be the boss.

You can decide what type of business you’ll run, the hours you work, your goals, and more.

I love being in control of what I do, and becoming self-employed may allow you to feel that way as well. I enjoy deciding what I will do each day, creating my own schedule, determining my business goals, handling everything behind the scenes, and more.

Running an online business (and being your own boss) may not be for everyone, but it’s something I enjoy.

Plus, I love having a flexible schedule and being able to travel.

8. You do not need previous experience to start a blog

So many people think that you need to be an expert at blogging before you start a blog.

But, that is so far from the truth!

In fact, most of the successful bloggers I know actually had no idea what they were doing when they started.

You’ll simply learn how to blog as you go, and I learned a ton through trial and error.

I’m proof of the fact that blogging for beginners is possible. I had just learned that blogs existed when I started Making websites, and I definitely didn’t know that bloggers could make money. I learned how to create a blog from the bottom up and have worked my way to where I am today.

9. A blog can help expand your customer base

If you already have a website or business, then a blog can be a valuable addition.

This is because new customers may find you through your blog, such as by sharing articles on social media, from other customers, through Google, and more.

This can help you to earn more money through your business!

Now is a great time to start a blog.

The online world is forever growing, and each year there are new ways to monetize and grow your blog.

For example, it wasn’t until the past couple of years that companies and advertisers started realizing the value of online influencers, like bloggers, and that means even more opportunities to earn money blogging.

Before that, it was mainly celebrities that companies advertised with, but now, it is actually shifting to bloggers and other online influencers (such as Youtubers and Instagrammers!).

The online world is a huge place, and it is just going to keep growing. Every blogger earns a living in slightly different ways, and everyone has a different message and story. Plus, there are so many different ways to earn money blogging, and I expect that the options will continue to grow.

If blogging is so wonderful, then why doesn’t everyone start one?

I hear this question a ton, especially when I talk about the reasons to start a blog.

Blogging is not for everyone, just like how not everyone wants to be a nurse, teacher, or any other specific career.

While I absolutely love blogging, I know that everyone is different.

It takes a lot of work toa blog and make money from it.

And, for every successful blog out there, there are probably hundreds of bloggers who will never earn money blogging. While you can earn money blogging, not all bloggers will.

It would be like saying that 100% of people who start a business will see success. That is just never going to happen – businesses fail, business owners have a change of heart, and others just don’t find it enjoyable.

I know I am always talking about the positive reasons to start a blog, but I also like to mention how it’s not the easiest.

After all, if blogging was easy, then everyone would do it and everyone would make thousands of dollars a month.

But as you know, that’s not the case.

Not everyone is going to earn money blogging because it can be a lot of work! Most new bloggers quit just a few months in. A few months is not enough time to see if your blog will be successful. It took me 3 months before I started to earn money blogging, and I only earned $140 that 3rd. month.

It’s funny and weird to think about what life would be like if I would have quit back then.

I’m constantly learning something new when it comes to blogging, and that is why I enjoy it so much.

I am continuing to make money from my blogs, and I know many new bloggers who have been profitable in their first months.

Like I’ve said a couple of times, there continue to be new ways to monetize blogs, which is great for new bloggers.

The ability to build a profitable blog is more about the work you put into your blog. You can’t expect your blog to be profitable without any work.
